Compliance is the whole program - not just the software

Your customers and regulators care that you can prove what happened to each drive, tape, or device: who handled it, when, and how it was destroyed or sanitized. ErasureLog is built for that proof: structured custody, destruction records, images, and certificates in one place so you can stand behind your process with confidence.

Standards and programs ErasureLog helps you evidence

Whether you operate under information security regimes, data protection law, healthcare or card-data rules, or industry schemes for secure recycling and destruction, the common thread is defensible documentation. ErasureLog gives you a consistent way to capture serial-level traceability, custody events, outcomes, and professional certificates so you can show how your program meets expectations in practice.

Chain of custody records

Track custody transfer references, locations, handlers, container identifiers, and serial-level handoffs in one tenant-scoped audit trail.

Erasure and destruction evidence

Log serial numbers, media metadata, method and outcome details, and linked before/after images for each destruction or sanitization event.

Certificates and audit packs

Generate professional PDF certificates and supporting records so you can respond to auditor and client evidence requests with consistent documentation.

Operational controls

Use role-based tenant access, searchable serial history, and reconciliation workflows so your team runs a tight, traceable operation every day.

The strongest compliance story is end to end

Frameworks and certifications usually look at your whole operation: facilities, training, physical security, vendor management, how data moves, and the records you keep when media is retired or destroyed. Software sits in the middle of that story as the place where evidence is captured consistently, searched quickly, and turned into customer-ready certificates and audit trails.

That is why ErasureLog is designed around workflows operators actually run: jobs, clients, custody transfers, serial reconciliation, and destruction events tied to real-world proof. When your process is strong, ErasureLog helps you show it clearly.

What certifications, standards, and frameworks does ErasureLog have and comply with?

ErasureLog is not a replacement for certifications that apply to your business, such as site or program certifications in secure destruction, recycling schemes, or your own ISO scope. It is software for logging custody and destruction evidence, and it helps you work toward meeting requirements under standards and frameworks and support certification efforts where they apply to your operation.

Unlike erasure or destruction hardware, which can be evaluated against specific technical schemes, there are typically no product certifications aimed only at auditing software for secure disposal. There is also no standard badge that means "this audit logging product is certified" on its own, separate from how you operate.

In the data destruction industry, frameworks and certifications are usually based on the destruction hardware or software that performs sanitization or destruction, or on the entire process of handling, erasure, and destruction of data. There are no certifications or frameworks in place for the audit-software side alone.

That is why ErasureLog itself does not guarantee any particular compliance outcome or certification. It is a tool to help you and your processes align with standards and frameworks, and where necessary to earn certifications that belong to your program. ErasureLog helps you prove to others that you, your processes, and your workflows are compliant.

If you are doing due diligence on ErasureLog

  • -How uploads, certificates, and metadata are stored and retained
  • -What you can export or present for audits and customer evidence packs
  • -Legal terms: agreements, subprocessors, and where data is processed

Compliance outcomes depend on your organization, contracts, and jurisdictions. ErasureLog is software that supports evidence and audit readiness; it does not replace legal advice or your full control environment.
